East Java | Argopuro - Situbondo Regency Anaerobic Natural
Rasberry Cordial | Pomegranate | Champagne
Grown in the footsteps of Mt. Argopuro
in Situbondo Regency, East Java Province,
this juicy, aromatic coffee is a labor of
love for Ahmad Muhlisin of the Walida
Cooperative. Water supply in the region is
notoriously very scarce, so Ahmad made
water-conserving naturally processed
coffees his focus from an early stage.
This year’s crop serves as a sterling
exemplar of the bold flavor potential of
the often-temperamental
Kartika variety and of naturally
processed anaerobic coffees in general;
overflowing with notes of raspberry
cordial, pomegranate, and floral
champagne, it is a quintessential “fruit
bomb.”
